Adventures in Acting: Little Stars
Help your 6-8 year old student build confidence as they learn to speak in front of a group! Students will work with scripts, be introduced to improvisation techniques, and learn how to create characters.
*Please note that a parent or guardian must be present with the student during the class.

In this "Little Stars" class, Casting Director Chris Gilmore and Director Leo Gilmore lead students and their parents through a fun acting adventure for TV, film, and commercials. Students and parents will be given scripts and also be participating in improvisation techniques as well. Students will learn how to create characters and dive into their imaginations in scenes, while also learning how to focus, stay on subject, and apply reading and memorization skills.
This class will continue throughout the year, with each month offering a different theme: such as comedy improvisation, commercials, drama, character building, and more!

Class size: 1-12 students
Supplies:
- Computer (with camera and microphone)
- Secondary device for scripts (iPad, cell phone) or a printed version of the script.
Prerequisites
A parent or guardian should be present to assist the student with the reading of scripts, use of iPad, phone, or printing of scripts. The parent or guardian helps keep our younger students more focused and plays an important role in assisting the student with their acting homework. This will be a FUN learning adventure that bonds the parent and child as they make-believe together!

About Chris Gilmore
As a producer in the entertainment industry and as an acting coach of over 30 years, I love bringing new creative minds forward and building the confidence of our kids and teens who are the future of our world and if it is their choice, of the entertainment industry. My passion is to teach our students to spread their creative wings and soar. Having been a child star, and having been taught by the best teachers, I know the joy of creating great characters and using the imagination to the max as an actor. As a mom of a "homeschooler" I know the great value of acting skills, reading, memorization skills, and the social skills and confidence that our acting classes have brought to my students and to my son (who has now co-directed his first feature film.) Plus, the classes are a lot of FUN!
