Club Guitar

3-6 students Standard

A safe community for a dangerous instrument!  Guitar Club is a lively community of guitarists who want to share and get feedback on the songs they have been working on. It is also a place for guidance and education on aspects of the guitar that are proving challenging to the student.  We keep our class sizes small (3-6 students) to ensure each student gets the attention they need. We start from square one (or whichever square your child is on at the present moment).  Hope to rock with you soon!

Class Description

Q: How does a club differ from a group class?

A: In a group class, every student learns from the same curriculum at the same pace. Some students might get bored because the curriculum is going too slow or others frustrated because the curriculum is moving too fast.  In Club Guitar, every student works at their own pace on the material they choose to work on. Each student gets a 7-10 minute spotlight per class to present what they worked on during the week and get constructive feedback from the class and guidance from the teacher. While students are observing the spotlight student, they will learn things that they might not have known from this student, get excited about a song they might want to learn, and have fun being an audience member while the spotlight student performs. No frustration, no boredom. Just fun!

Q: What if my child is a beginner?

A:  If your child is a beginner, no worries! They will spend the first month getting the basics down, learning from the teacher, and being mentored by the other students who are a little further along. After a month they will start learning the songs they want to learn and will eventually become a mentor themselves!

Q: What if my student gets bored with the guitar after a month?

A: This class runs on a monthly subscription, so if they do not take to the instrument after a month or two they can drop out and maybe try a different instrument. Dave offers Clubs for Ukulele, Piano, and Songwriting as well.

Q: I just bought this instrument and I can't afford to turn around and buy another instrument for the other classes. What can I do?

A: I am always getting new students, so if you need to sell your instrument, I can easily find you a buyer. You will make about 75% of your investment back by selling to another student. I can also help find you a discounted instrument if your student wants to try a different Club.

Q: What if my student is better with one-on-one tutoring?

A: I offer private lessons in piano, guitar, ukulele, drums, bass, mandolin, banjo, music production, and song writing. We have all your musical bases covered! You can book private lessons here

Q: Where can I ask a question that I do not see here?

A: You can use the "Contact Instructor" button to reach out with any and all questions!

Hope to see you soon!
