Class Description

Using a structured and scientifically proven method of teaching Reading Comprehension, students will complete a curriculum focused on sequencing, predicting, visualizing, and inferencing a series of stories. In addition, students will learn to create a narrative re-telling of the critical story elements using a mnemonic device. Students will write one paragraph summaries of stories that include all critical story elements. Finally, students ill be encouraged to illustrate the stories to give an added sensory experience to their learning.

We will meet online Thursday mornings from 9:00 - 9:55 am.
