Coach Profile

Coach Joe grew up in Bangkok, Thailand where his first job was teaching ESL to 1st graders when he was 16 years old. It was at that early age when he discovered his love and passion for teaching. Now, with over 20 years of professional teaching experience, he has taught children and adults of all ages in both formal and informal settings. His teaching focus for the last few years has been working with homeschool children. Joe enjoys the flexibility, independence, and variety that attends the homeschool learning environment. His classroom style is highly energetic and vibrant, drawing students into the wonder of self-discovery and unlocking each student’s potential as a learner. He specializes in teaching literature, reading comprehension, writing and social studies. He has a bachelor’s degree in communication and a master’s degree in theology.
