Coach Profile

I have taught English/Literature for over fifteen years. My focus has been on 5th grade through 12th using California State curriculum and Common Core curriculum. Grammar, vocabulary, reading, poetry, writing, oral presentations, essays are all my thing! Under my watch, even Shakespeare has proven to be fun! I also work with students who are preparing their essays for their Common Applications, UC applications, as well as their Supplemental Essays. It can be an overwhelming process for parents and students, but I can help. Typically, in two 1-hr workshops I can get students confident enough to write their essays. Now is the time to work on these before the November and January deadline! I am a mother of four children, a youth group counselor, and summer camp committee member. I bring that experience in working with my students. I have benefited from lots of training with therapy and understand the value of listening, validating, and empowering young people.
